DOP (dioctyl phthalate), DINP (diisononyl phthalate) and DOTP (dioctyl terephthalate) are plasticizers that make PVC flexible for cables, hoses, films, flooring and synthetic leather. Phthalate-free DOTP is preferred in many applications for its low volatility. HDO (1,6-hexanediol) is a diol that adds flexibility and hydrolysis resistance to polyester and polyurethane resins. Silicone fluids are used for foam control, mould release and lubrication thanks to their thermal stability, while heat transfer fluids carry heat safely at high temperatures in closed-loop heating systems.
